Glazed Salmon

Glazed Salmon

Skip the fish and chips shop line and make your own beautiful fish dish for dinner this week. We use Dark Brown Sugar in the marinade to make a sticky glaze over the salmon that is mouth-watering.

Ingredients

  • 1 side salmon, skin removed and pin boned
  • ½ cup dark soy sauce
  • ¼ cup CSR Dark Brown Sugar
  • 4cm piece ginger, finely shredded
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 spring onions, sliced

To Serve:

  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • Mint
  • Spring Onions
  • Lemon wedges
  • Chilli

Method

  1. Place salmon into a baking dish large enough to hold it. Mix together the soy, sugar, ginger, garlic and spring onions. Pour over salmon, cover and refrigerate for 1 hr.
  2. Pre-heat oven to 180°C fan-forced. Place salmon into the oven and cook for approx. 20 mins until just cooked. Baste the salmon with the marinade whilst it is cooking.
  3. When serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds, mint, spring onions and chilli. Accompany with some freshly cooked rice.
