Quick Apple Date Slice

This Quick Apple Date Slice is so easy to make and is such a good tasty lunchbox snack. All of the ingredients go in one bowl which means less fuss and minimal clean up. Make this Quick Apple Date Slice on a Sunday night for a tasty lunchbox treat to last the week.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup White Wings self-raising flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup CSR Low GI Sugar
  • 1 extra large egg, lightly whisked
  • 125 butter, melted
  • ½ granny smith apple, grated
  • ⅓ cup dried dates, finely chopped

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C fan-forced. Line a 20 x 20cm slice tray with baking paper.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix until well combined. Spoon into prepared pan and press out to the side. Bake for 25 mins, or until just golden.
  3. Allow to cool in pan for 10 mins before removing to a cooling rack to cool completely.
